Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Ocean Dr in Corpus Christi, TX on June 29th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 3:31 a.m. According to investigators, a Cadillac SRX was northbound on Ocean Dr prior to veering out of its lane while navigating a curve in the road. Reports claim the vehicle traveled over a curb and struck both a brick and concrete wall before veering back across the roadway into a light pole in a median. From there, police say the vehicle struck a palm tree and overturned, sliding from the road into a grass lot and catching fire. The driver, identified as 34-year-old Jeremy Vela, was fatally injured, reports say. Additional information was not available.
