What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Western St in Amarillo, TX on August 31st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:08 a.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Wrangler operated by 45-year-old Jeremy Woodruff was headed southbound on Western St approaching a yellow light. Investigators believe the vehicle turned left into the path of a Honda Odyssey operated by a 36-year-old Amarillo woman. The two vehicles collided, leaving Woodruff with serious injuries. The occupants of the Honda were uninjured. A Failure to Yield charge was recommended and/or issued.
