Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 110 in Smith County, TX on May 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:38 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Altima operated by 38-year-old Jermaine Alexander was headed southbound on 110 when it veered through an east ditch. It struck a tree before spinning and overturning into a pair of parked vehicles parked in front of a private residence. Alexander suffered serious injuries in the crash. Reports indicate a Driving While Intoxicated charge was recommended and/or issued.
