Authorities in Houston, TX, are investigating a three-vehicle crash that occurred on March 11, 2025, at approximately 5:03 p.m. on Interstate 610. Authorities are saying a Hyundai Tucson was allegedly traveling the wrong way on a one-way road and collided head-on with a Volkswagen Atlas, which then collided with a Chevrolet Trax. The 51-year-old driver of the Hyundai, identified as Jermaine Thompson sustained fatal injuries. The 32-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, identified as Leila Hamadeh, sustained suspected serious injuries, while her two child passengers, ages 5 and 6, sustained possible injuries. The 53-year-old driver of the Chevrolet sustained a possible injury. Wrong-way driving was identified as a contributing factor. The investigation is complete.
