What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at FM 223 in San Jacinto County, TX on August 1st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:42 p.m. A motorcycle operated by 57-year-old Jesse Trevathan was headed northwest on FM 223 at an alleged unsafe speed when it lost control at a curve. It veered from the road through a culvert and went airborne before crashing into a tree line. Trevathan suffered serious injuries in the collision. Responding officers say there were signs of alcohol use present at the time.
