Officials say it occurred around 2 p.m. According to reports, a Toyota Rav-4 operated by 34-year-old Jessica Blair was headed westbound on Hwy 90 before an eastbound Buick Regal passed in a no-passing zone. The two vehicles collided head-on, causing major injuries to both Blair and her 8-year-old son. Both were taken to an area hospital for treatment where the 8-year-old died from his injuries.
