What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a car accident at NW Fwy and Tacoma St in Houston, TX on December 11th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:57 a.m. According to investigators, a pickup truck was allegedly speeding prior to running a red light and colliding with a Toyota Camry stopped at the light. A rear seat passenger, identified as 39-year-old Jessica Gabrila, suffered fatal injuries in the collision while the driver and front seat passenger were either uninjured or had non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver, 43-year-old Amilcar Isais Cruz Acosta, was arrested at the scene on a charge of Intoxication Manslaughter.
