What Happened

Corpus Christi Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at Nile and Joslin in Corpus Christi, TX on November 19th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8:21 p.m. A vehicle that was making a turn is said to have collided with an SUV on Ennis Joslin Rd. Police say the driver of the first vehicle, 21-year-old Leroy Jasso, allegedly believed they had a green turn signal. The impact of the collision caused a 27-year-old passenger in the first vehicle, Jesus Garcia, serious injuries. Police say he died on November 30th from his injuries. Another passenger in the vehicle suffered undisclosed injuries while the SUV driver was not injured. Jasso was arrested on charges that were said to include Intoxication Manslaughter and Intoxication Assault.
