Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 83 in Dimmit County, TX on March 7th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:38 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-250 was southbound, approaching traffic ahead. Reports say the vehicle may have experienced a mechanical malfunction that prevented the vehicle from being able to safely come to a stop. The vehicle is said to have went left, towards northbound lanes before going in a slide and colliding with a GMC Sierra. The occupants of the Sierra, who were not publicly identified, were both seriously injured, according to reports. Also seriously injured was 26-year-old Jesus Guadalupe De Jesus.
