What Happened

San Angelo Police are investigating a collision that killed a man at US Hwy 87 in San Angelo, TX on April 11th, 2025. Police say the incident happened around 9:55 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Challenger was allegedly racing another vehicle prop to authorities attempting to pull the Dodge over. Reports allege the Dodge fled the area and ended up colliding with a guardrail, traveling airborne and overturning multiple times upon landing. Its occupants, including two passengers, 18-year-old Jesus Manuel Silva and 20-year-old Matthew Allen Reyes, who were both fatally injured. The alleged driver, 19-year-old Jeydan Zane Sanchez-Ayala, was hospitalized with serious injured. Authorities did not have additional information available.
