Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 285 in Fort Stockton, TX on June 9th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:54 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 57-year-old Elkhart man was headed northbound on US Hwy 285 when it reportedly attempted to turn into a parking lot from an outside lane. Police say the vehicle turned without safety into the path of a Jeep Wrangler operated by 43-year-old Jewell Alicia Duarte Talavera, causing minor injuries. The Elkhart man was not injured.
