Officials say the incident happened around 8:06 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC Sierra headed southbound on Western St is alleged to have failed to yield before proceeding into the interaction at McCormick Rd. There, reports say the vehicle collided with a westbound motorcycle, operated by 61-year-old Jimmy Snider. Officials say both Snider and his 56-year-old passenger were ejected from the vehicle in the impact. Snider was fatally injured while the passenger, who was not publicly identified, was hospitalized with suspected serious injuries.
