What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at TX 21 in Caldwell County, TX on May 12th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:41 p.m. According to investigators, a Nissan NX2000 operated by 38-year-old Raul Alejandro Miranda Duran was headed eastbound on TX 21 when it crossed a double yellow line and collided with the side of the Nissan Rogue turning into a driveway. The driver of the Rogue, identified as 20-year-old Joe Alexis Perez Vences, suffered serious injuries in the collision. Duran was not injured and reports indicate a felony Failure to Stop and Render Aid charge was recommended and/or issued.
