Police say the incident happened around 7:12 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 1500 headed westbound is said to have continued straight at a red traffic signal, colliding with a Nissan Murano. Reports indicate the driver of the Nissan, identified as 71-year-old Joe Contreras, was seriously injured. A 9-year-old passenger was also seriously injured, as was the driver of the Dodge and his 24-year-old passenger. Reports indicate the driver of the Dodge was charged with Disregarding Red Light.
