What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at Hartwick Rd in Harris County, TX on June 28th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 12:56 a.m. According to investigators, a Mazda CX-5 traveling westbound on Hartwick Rd is alleged to have collided with a Ford F-550 bucket truck parked in a westbound lane. Reports say the truck was being utilized as cable lines were being repaired at the time. The impact from the collision is said the have cause the Mazda to spin into a nearby brick mailbox and fence before also striking a gas line and unity pole. The operator of the Mazda, identified as Joe Jackson, was fatally injured, reports say. There were bo other reported injuries and additional information was not available.
