What Happened

Area authorities have information related to a crash that injured two drivers at Business Loop 20 in Midland, TX on August 4th, 2021. Officials are saying the incident happened around 4:53 p.m. A Dodge Durango operated by 51-year-old Polito Trevino was stopped at an eastbound red light waiting to turn south onto Loop 250. A Toyota Tundra operated by 39-year-old Joel Orosco Quintanar was headed westbound through a green light. The Dodge then failed to yield and proceeded through its red light, colliding with the Tundra. Both Quintanar and Trevino were seriously injured. Investigators say Trevino was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol.
