What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Wonder World Dr in San Marcos, TX on January 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:05 a.m. A commercial truck operated by a 26-year-old Killeen, TX man is said to have been headed northwest on Wonder World Dr before beginning to make a left turn onto Hunter Rd. A Honda Civic operated by a39-year-old John Allen Burge was headed southeast on Wonder World continuing straight through the intersection. Investigators say during the turn, the truck struck the Civic, causing a minor leg injury to Burge, who is said to have refused medical transport. Investigators believe the truck failed to yield during the turn and say the truck driver was not injured.
