What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-10 in Kerr County, TX on October 1st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8:10 a.m. A commercial truck operated by a 57-year-old Fountain Valley, CA man was traveling westbound off an I-10 exit ramp when it reportedly failed to come to a designated stopping point as it approached a stop sign. The truck then hydroplaned and veered into a Ford F-250 operated by 21-year-old John Dylan Vlasek before veering into an embankment and overturning. While the truck driver was uninjured, Vlasek suffered minor injuries. Police issued the Fountain Valley man a citation for Failure to Stop at Designated Point at Stop Sign.
