What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured three people at County Rd 316 in Runnels County, TX on November 4th, 2021. Police say it happened around 1:15 a.m. Investigators allege a Dodge Ram operated by 21-year-old Colton King lost control while attempting to drift around a curve. The truck veered from the road and overturned, ejecting both King and one of his passengers. 19-year-old John Jones was seriously injured as well as 28-year-old passenger. 19-year-old Isabella McMahan was less seriously injured as was King. Due to alleged intoxication, officers recommended and/or issued a charge of Intoxication Assault.
