Area authorities have information on a crash that seriously injured a driver at US 287 in Clay County, TX on February 28th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford pickup headed northbound is allegedly to have collided with a semi-truck. The semi-truck is believed to have been exiting a brick manufacturing plant and entering southbound lanes at the time of the crash. Police allege the semi-truck failed to yield to northbound traffic prior to the collision. The driver of the Ford, identified as John Schroeder, was hospitalized with serious injuries. The other driver was not injured. Authorities had no additional information to share.
