Police say the incident happened around 2:55 a.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Wrangler was headed eastbound before veering from its lane for unconfirmed reasons. Police say the vehicle traveled across oncoming traffic lanes before veering into a culvert on the north side. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn, ejecting the driver from the vehicle. Reports indicate a utility pole was also hit in the crash, which fell onto the driver, causing fatal injuries. The driver was identified by authorities as Johnathon Ramirez.
