What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured three people at West Loop 289 and Slide Rd in Lubbock, TX on March 4th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4 a.m. Investigators say a southbound Chevrolet Traverse towing a trailer with a boat lost wooden pallets whole traveling. The vehicle was stopped as the driver was attempting to retrieve the pallets, a southbound van attempted to veer around the Traverse and collided with the trailer. A southbound Jeep then struck the van while attempting to avoid the Traverse. 33-year-old Bryce Stillwell, 41-year-old Johnny Lemons, 54-year-old Steven Castillo were all injured in the crash.
