What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at Hwy 105 in Grimes County, TX on April 5th, 2024. Authorities are saying it happened around 7:43 a.m. According to reports, a Nissan passenger car headed westbound on Hwy 105 is alleged to have crossed a center line for unknown reasons before colliding head-on with a tractor-trailer. Authorities say 31-year-old front seat passenger, Jon Archer, suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The driver of the Nissan, allegedly identified as 29-year-old Kaylin Corbin, was hospitalized along with two child passengers with suspected serious injuries. Police say the truck operator was uninjured and had no additional information to share.
