Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at State Hwy 37 in Big Lake, TX on August 31st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:40 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by 27-year-old Ezekiel Sosa was headed southbound prior to allegedly veering into a northbound lane. From there, police allege the vehicle collided with a commercial truck operated by 38-year-old Jonathan Charles Ray. The impact is said to have caused the trucks to catch fire and both Sosa and Ray were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities did not have additional information available.
