Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at FM 39 in Leon County, TX on March 14th, 2025. Police say the incident happened when a GMC collided with the rear of a semi-truck waiting to make a left turn. Officials say the impact sent the GMC into southbound lanes where it collided head-on with a CRV. Officials say the CRV operator, identified as 49-year-old Jonathan Chesnut, was fatally injured.
