Police say the incident happened around 12:39 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Taurus operated by 25-year-old Marlon Castorela was allegedly headed westbound. Police believe the vehicle performed an unsafe lane change, striking a Nissan Sentra operated by 26-year-old Jonathan Morales. Officials say the impact caused the Nissan to lose control and veered into a fence. The Ford also lost control and crashing into a light pole. Officials allege Castorela fled the scene on-foot and sources indicate a Failure to Stop and Render Aid charge was recommended and/or issued.
