What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 75 in Howe, TX on September 22nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. A vehicle occupied by 28-year-old Jordan Helenkamp was parked in a shoulder on the side of the road on US 75 when another vehicle headed south veered from the road and crashed into it. Helenkamp suffered fatal injuries while the other driver, 20-year-old Guillermo Munoz Garcia, was not injured and arrested for Intoxicated Manslaughter. A passenger in Garcia's vehicle was hospitalized with serious injuries.
