What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured one person at Loop 12 in Dallas, TX on August 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:41 a.m. According to investigators, a BMW 430i, allegedly operated by 29-year-old Marlene Castillo, was headed northwest before leaving the roadway. Reports say the vehicle struck a curb and veered into a traffic pole before crashing through a closed business building nearby. The crash is said to have left 33-year-old passenger, Jorge Barrera, seriously injured. Also seriously injured was Castillo, reports say, which also allege the possibility of alcohol involvement in the crash. Additional information was not immediately available.
