Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at FM 3248 in Cameron County, TX on December 21st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:25 a.m. Investigators are saying a Chevrolet Spark, operated by 57-year-old Jorge Fuentes, was nearing FM 3248 while traveling on Cavazos Rd. Upon reaching the intersection, reports allege the vehicle proceeded forward, possibly failing to yield while doing so, and collided with an eastbound Chrysler 300. The collision is said to have left the Chrysler operator, a 27-year-old man who was not publicly identified, with minor injuries. Police say Fuentes was killed in the crash and had no additional information available.
