Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at FM 922 in Cooke County, TX on May 29th, 202. Police say the incident happened around 7:59 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram operated by Luis Fernando Morales Arana was headed eastbound on FM 922 when it took evasive action to attempt to avoid colliding with a vehicle ahead slowing to make a turn. It then moved into a westbound lane and crashed head-on into a Ford Mustang operated by 25-year-old Jorge Perez-Brena, who suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Arana suffered minor injuries. Reports indicate a Criminally Negligent Homicide charge was recommended and/or issued against Arana.
