What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at Hwy 190 in Tyler County, TX on September 27th, 2022. Police believe the incident happened around 10 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer hauling a log skidded was headed westbound while a Buick SUV was starveling eastbound on Hwy 190. Officers allege the SUV crossed a center line for unknown reasons, colliding with the side of the the truck. The driver of the SUV was taken to an area hospital with injuries they later died from. They were later identified as 56-year-old Jose Ceniceros. A passenger from the SUV, identified as 51-year-old Rosalia Medrano, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The truck driver reportedly refused medical treatment. Additional information was not available.
