Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 72 in Karnes County, TX on April 25th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:21 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet C1500 operated by 65-year-old Jose Concepcion Huerta was headed southbound on Hwy 72 approaching the intersection with county Rd 329. The vehicle is said to have collided at the intersection with a tractor-trailer after one of the vehicles allegedly failed to yield to the other. Huerta was transported to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. The other driver, a 59-year-old Luling, TX man, was not injured, according to police.
