What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at Schaefer Rd in Converse, TX on April 13th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:50 p.m. According to investigators, a Volkswagen Tiguan operated by 21-year-old Treyvon Jenkins was headed westbound on Schaefer Rd when it alleged traveled into an oncoming lane in an attempt to pass another vehicle. While doing so, the vehicle collided head-in with an eastbound Nissan Titan operated by 52-year-old Jose Flores Sanchez. Sanchez had injuries believed to be serious in nature, according to police. Jenkins had less serious injuries and officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Assault With Vehicle charge.
