What Happened

Area authorities have arrested a man in connection with a crash that killed a man at Slide Rd and Marsha Sharp Fwy in Lubbock, TX on January 1st, 2020. Police say it happened around 2:30 p.m. A Ford Fusion operated by Raymundo Miguel Gamboa was headed southbound on Slide Rd when it collided with a Ford Edge headed eastbound at Marsha Sharp access road. After the collision, the Fusion then struck a Ford Explorer and Gamboa's passenger, 28-year-old Jose Fraire suffered serious injuries that he later died from. Gamboa and the others involved suffered moderate injuries and Gamboa was arrested on September 2, 2021 on a charge of manslaughter.
