What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at Loop 1604 in San Antonio, TX on July 29th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:15 a.m. A passenger vehicle operated by 31-year-old Jose Francisco Banda reportedly collided with a bulldozer making a u-turn from southbound lanes into northbound lanes in an active construction zone. Police say Banda's vehicle may have attempted to brake to avoid a collision but was unable. Investigators also add that the bulldozer died have the right of way at the time and that Banda suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
