What Happened

Harris County Sheriff's Office authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at Crosby Fwy in Harris County, TX on August 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:21 p.m. Investigators say a westbound Dodge Journey operated by Rosa Elena Garcia reportedly was involved in a collision with a Chevrolet allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle collided with rear of Garcia's vehicle before veering from the road into a ditch and hitting a culvert and fence. The vehicle overturned, leaving the driver, Jose Francisco Ibarra, with fatal injuries. Garcia and a passenger, Joselyn Garcia Mata, suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
