Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash at I-45 and Hamilton Ave in Corsicana, TX on August 6th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:38 p.m. A Toyota Corolla operated by 23-year-old Jose Francisco Martinez was headed westbound on Hamilton Ave when it failed to yield at a stop sign, entering into the path of a tractor-trailer. The two vehicles collided, despite evidence appearing to indicate that the truck attempted to avoid the collision, and Martinez was seriously injured. The truck driver, a 52-year-old Corsicana man, suffered minor injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
