What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 180 and 23rd St in Grand Prairie, TX on June 19th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:56 a.m. A Ford F-150 44-year-old Jose Guerrero Sotelo reportedly veered from its lane and crashed into a second vehicle. It then overcorrected and crashed into a lamp post which then fell on top of the the Ford. The second vehicle involved left the scene before police arrived. Sotelo, who suffered serious injuries, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
