Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 535 in Bastrop County, TX on November 21st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1 a.m. A Toyota Corolla, believed to have been operated by 33-year-old David Altamirano, was headed eastbound on FM 535 as it approached a curve in the road. It then went into a skid and struck a barbed wire fence and tree. Investigators say Altimarano and his passenger, 33-year-old Jose Louis Rivero, left the scene after the crash with serious injuries. Responding officers allege that there was an alcoholic beverage odor detected in the vehicle. Additional information was not available.
