Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 36 in Sealy, TX on June 30th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:39 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 43-year-old Sealy man allegedly failed to yield right of way while attempting to cross highway 36 as it left a private drive. It collided with a GMC Sierra operated by 66-year-old Jose Luis Velazquez, causing serious injuries. The Sealy man was not injured and records indicate a Failure to Yield Right of Way charge was recommended and/or issued.
