Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 123 in Guadalupe County, TX on January 7th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:58 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Tundra was southbound before allegedly entering onto a northbound lane, while still traveling southbound. The vehicle collided with the side of a northbound Chevrolet Malibu before eventually coming to rest in a westbound shoulder. The impact from the crash is said to have caused the Malibu to spin into a nearby guardrail, the occupants of that vehicle suffering possible injuries, according to reports. The driver of the Toyota, identified as 43-year-old Jose Vasquez Jr, was seriously injured, according to reports. Sources show an Open Container in Motor Vehicle charge was recommended and/or issued.
