What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person at Hwy 90A in Sugar Land, TX on February 7th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 10:30 a.m. Reports allege a vehicle believed to have been involved in a burglary was being pursued by police before it ran a red light at the intersection with Gillingham Lane. There, reports say the suspect vehicle struck another vehicle, occupied by 56-year-old Joseph Aponte. Aponte suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Reports continue that the driver of the suspect vehicle as well as two passenger were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
