What Happened

Authorities are investigating a collision that killed two people at South Loop West in Houston, TX on March 19th, 2025. Police say the incident happen around 1:05 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Sentra headed eastbound at a high rate of speed is said to have collided with a motorcycle near an entrance ramp. Reports claim the motorcycle may have been disabled or slowly moving in a median before the collision, which also saw the Nissan collide with a nearby metal barricade. Officials say both the motorcycle operator, 39-year-old Joshua Caballero Rocha and Nissan operator, 32-year-old Bryon Phillips II, were killed. A passenger in the Nissan was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not available.
