What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian at US 82 in Bowie County, TX on April 20th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:36 p.m. Investigators say a Toyota 4Runner operated by a a 21-year-old New Boston man was headed northwest on US 82. At the same time, 35-year-old Joshua DeRamcy is alleged to have been walking in a north shoulder before entering into a lane of travel. DeRamcy was struck by the vehicle, suffering fatal injuries in the incident. Police also add it was raining at the time of the collision.
