What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 67 in Brown County, TX on December 11th, 20221. Police say the incident happened around 11:07 p.m. A GMC Jimmy operated by 27-year-old Joshua Perez was headed westbound on US 67 when police say it veered from the road. While attempting to correct back onto the roadway, the vehicle went into a skid and overturned in a center median across eastbound lanes. Perez was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. Investigators say a blood sample obtained from Perez allegedly revealed there was alcohol in his system at the time of the crash and records show a Driving While Intoxicated charge was issued.
