Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured a driver at FM 917 in Johnson County, TX on November 12th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8:21 p.m. A Dodge Ram operated by 44-year-old Joshua Schultz was headed eastbound on FM 917 when it crossed over into a lane occupied by a tractor-trailer. The Dodge sideswiped the truck before colliding head-on with a GMC Yukon. Both the driver and passenger of the Yukon were seriously injured, as was Schultz. Responding officers allege Schultz admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to driving.
