Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at Cesar Chavez Rd in Hidalgo County, TX on May 7th, 2023. Police say it happened around 4:15 a.m. According to investigators, a Volkswagen Passat operated by 18-year-old Anthony Perez is said to have veered from the road while headed northbound on Cesear Chavez Rd. The vehicle struck an irrigation ditch, causing it to overturn Both Perez and his passenger. 18-year-old Joshua Vasquez are believed to have been seriously injured. Authorities recommended and/or issued Failure to Driver in Single Lane and Intoxication Assault W/Vehicle charges.
