What Happened

Police are investigating a collision at State Hwy 288 in Brazoria County, TX on December 9th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:25 p.m. According to investigators, a  Jeep Cherokee was allegedly traveling the wrong way in a construction zone and collided head-on with a Hyundai Sonata. The Sonata’s 42-year-old driver, Joy Osuji and two passengers, ages 48 and 54, sustained serious injuries. A third vehicle, a Ford Taurus, was also involved, and its 44-year-old driver, Tunecha Howard, suffered minor injuries. The Jeep driver, who was not publicly identified, was charged with DWI.
