What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-820 in Fort Worth, TX on September 23rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 5:51 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Mustang was headed eastbound before the vehicle allegedly hydroplaned on standing water. Reprots say this caused the vehicle to veer into a lane occupied by a Dodge Charger, the vehicles colliding as a result. Police say the driver of the Dodge, identified as 53-year-old Juan Antonio, was seriously injured. The other driver, who was not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured and charged with Changed Lanes When Unsafe. Additional information was not immediately available.
