What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Greer Blvd in Pittsburg, TX on May 13th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:37 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 1500 operated by 21-year-old Juan Carlos Soto was headed southbound on North Greer Blvd when it veered from the road into a mailbox. It then struck a second mailbox and went airborne before landing and crashing into a fence. Soto was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries, later being airlifted to an area hospital. Reports indicate a Driving While Intoxication charge was recommended or issued.
